H&I Engineering Ltd, is a successfully family-run company founded in 1973 and based in Eastriggs, Annan, Scotland, is a well-known and respected mechanical engineering business offering fabrication, installation, repair and maintenance service

We are now hiring for a skilled pipefitter/welder to join the team in Eastriggs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing piping systems, as well as performing welding tasks to ensure high-quality construction and maintenance of projects.

The position will include workshop and site work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret Drawings and specifications to determine the layout and assembly of piping systems.

• Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes to required specifications.

• Install and secure pipes, fittings, and fixtures using welding techniques, brackets, clamps, and other tools.

• Conduct welding operations in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards.

• Perform quality checks to ensure pipe connections are secure and meet specifications.

• Troubleshoot and repair piping systems as needed.

• Work with various materials, including stainless steel, carbon steel, and other alloys.

• Collaborate with other team members, including engineers and project managers, to complete projects efficiently.

• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.

• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Pipefitter/Welder or similar role.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

• Familiarity with safety standards and procedures.

• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various conditions, including confined spaces and high elevations.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Valid driver’s license.
