TIG Welders

Time-Served & Coded

  • Location Annan
  • Hours Full-time (39 hours)

To produce consistent level of high quality welded joints on various products, while utilising a diverse range of welding processes & techniques. These are subjected to strenuous inspection with U/T, X-Ray & MPI techniques.

Welding of pipework, support frames, shell boilers & pressures vessels in carbon and stainless steel using TIG welding processes.

  • Time served Coded Welder essential
  • Completion of Recognised Craft Apprenticeship.
  • Good overall diversity in various welding processes
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Must be conversant with fabrication drawings
  • Work is based at both our workshop and customer’s sites.
  • Coded to ASME IX 2015
  • Coded to BS EN ISO 9606-1 : 2017

Contracts Engineer

We are currently looking for an experienced contracts engineer to join our existing team, to manage various projects from initial enquiry through to completion. Working alongside clients, other contract engineers and suppliers is a key aspect to this position

The Company

Established in 1973, H&I Engineering provide an extensive range of services. Industrial boiler repairs & overhauls, fabrication & pipework. Our workforce of fully qualified tradesmen includes coded welders, pipefitters and fabricators who are highly skilled in production and site working.

Key Responsibilities

  • to interpretate client enquiries & drawings, prepare quotations
  • to ensure drawings are suitable for manufacture
  • to understand technical information & produce quality documentation to customer requirements
  • to attend technical reviews
  • to co-ordinate engineering documentation and workshop activities
  • to prepare purchase orders and assist on material procurement
  • to ensure the projects are built & installed to customer drawings & information

What you need for the role

  • a recognised time served engineering background
  • ability to work effectively in a team
  • must be able to interpret mechanical drawings & work instructions
  • a valid driving license
